POS System Requirements
Windows XP is the recommended operating system for
POS terminals running RestaurantPlus professional restaurant software.
If you will be installing
RestaurantPlus demo software on a computer with Windows 2007 be sure to select
64-bit mode. RestaurantPlus restaurant software will not run on computers with Windows Vista.

Cash Drawers

If using an Epson Receipt printer: use a
cash drawer that gets its signal to open drawer from the Epson receipt
printer
If using a non-Epson Receipt printer: use a
cash drawer that gets its signal to open drawer from a serial COM port
on the PC
Network Connections

Use Belkin, NetGear,
LinkSys, etc.
10/100 Network Router or Network Switch (do not recommend using a hub)

Use Pre-N Wireless
(Wireless in the kitchen is not recommended near Microwaves and

pc's be setup as "Administrator" with no Password

Installation & setup of local network, point-of-sale hardware and restaurant software systems, including network printer setup, must be performed by a trained
computer professional.
Work with a local point-of-sale systems installer and our Setup Manual.
