Touch Screens

- ALL-IN-ONE style: most expensive, takes less counter space (built-in to PC)

RestaurantPlus software is certified with the following POS receipt printers

Epson TM-T88III or TM-T88IV Thermal Receipt Printer
Epson TM-U200 or TM-U220 Impact Receipt Printer
Epson TM-U200 or TM-U220 "Ethernet" Impact Receipt Printer (for kitchen, bar, etc.)
Other receipt printers such as Star, Ithica, Citizen, etc. may work but are not certified (incorrect font spacing, etc.)

Cash Drawers

If using an Epson Receipt printer: use a cash drawer that gets its signal to open drawer from the Epson receipt printer
If using a non-Epson Receipt printer: use a cash drawer that gets its signal to open drawer from a serial COM port on the PC

Network Connections

Use Belkin, NetGear, LinkSys, etc. 10/100 Network Router or Network Switch (do not recommend using a hub)
Use Category 5 or 6 Ethernet Cable
Use Pre-N Wireless (Wireless in the kitchen is not recommended near Microwaves and stainless steel)
Recommend all networked pc's be setup as "Administrator" with no Password

Battery Backup

We recommend that you install a battery backup system on each computer and for network router and/or network switch

Credit card payment processing

Credit cards are authorized & captured using a third-party credit card terminal then finished in RestaurantPlus payment screen, which allows you to keep your current merchant service provider and lower processing fees. After the guest signs a credit card sales draft, the server (wait staff) completes the payment process in RestaurantPlus by selecting "Payment" then selecting the credit card type (enter Total Paid and the gratuity is automatically calculated and stored for reporting).

Installation & setup of local network, point of sale hardware and software systems, including network printer setup, must be performed by a trained computer professional. Work with a local point of sale systems installer and our Setup Manual.
